I have been so busy lately, which has in turn made me incredibly delinquent on my blogging! My apologies...
Quick update- I am now married and living in Jacksonville, FL. To all of you in North Carolina, I'm still available, as I plan to be in town frequently. Feel free to contact me if you need a session!
Now for some of my work over the last month...

Saturday was a beautiful day for shooting, and I met up with Misty and her daughters for a mother/daughter session! They are all three so beautiful, and I cannot believe Misty is the mother...they all look like sisters! Enjoy, comment, and be reminded that Mother's Day is May 10! Still plenty of time to book a session for a great gift for mom or grandma!

I've been away from the internet for a few days, and just now having the opportunity to update!
I soo enjoyed my photo session with the Young family tthis past Sunday. They were such a pleasure, and even though little Michael wasn't very excited to be there, he still did a great job and I was able to capture some very handsome shots of him! (And of course some great ones of his beautiful sister, too!) I hope you guys enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Okay- I know this is my photography blog, but today, I'm supporting a much greater cause. If you know me, you probably know I have always felt drawn to help the extremely underpriviledged- to better their lives. I truly feel the Lord has drawn my heart to the betterment of children, orphans, specifically. For most of my recent life, I have felt that that this will probably materialize by way of adoption (eventually). I do not feel this will be in the near future, and I have never felt it would be a typical adoption. At the risk of sounding as though I'm simply following a fad, I believe I am drawn to Africa. My heart aches for these people who have been plagued by such desparity, yet continue to overcome. I know in my heart I have to help. If my efforts only affect the life of one person, that one person makes it worth while. It's not because they need my charity, rather because my compassion for the people of Africa is beyond my own understanding. It is my prayer that the Lord reveal His true will to me. All I know is that which the Lord wills, He enables. I trust His faithfulness, even when I do not come close to understanding His will.
That being said...
My favorite musician, Matt Wertz, is a supporter of an organization called the Mocha Club. I've read the blogs and watched through photos and videos, for several years now, how this grassroots organization has taken off and is helping hundreds of thousands of African people. They have gone, they have given, and they have seen the joy and love that abounds amongst these people. African people have abundance comes from heart rather than material wealth. They make you wonder if the material items you possess are more of a curse than a blessing, and maybe you're just blinded to other more important blessings. Those lucky enough to travel the distance have been taught what it truly is to live, by those who possess litte more than the basic necessities of life. I long to experience this.
As a member of the Mocha Club, you agree to give up two mochas a month- approximately $7- and send it to Africa. [Well, you send it to the Mocha Club, they make sure it gets to Africa :) ]
After watching for years, I feel I can no longer sit by and do nothing. So this is where I'm starting. I'm finally giving up my mochas in hopes of making even the tiniest of differences. I can't do much, but I am compelled to do this. Afterall, think of all the people out there who "can't do much" and how much they could do together. That's the idea of the Mocha Club. Here's my baby step that I hope one day will amount to something much greater.
Check out the video, watch these people laugh because their joy just spills out, pray about it, research it and if you share the desire, join the team.

I will go. I will give. I will see.

I am so ready for warm weather! I saw green grass today and was immediately excited for the onset of Spring. Is it just me, or does it seem that with warm weather always comes warmer hearts and smiles? With friendly weather comes friendly attitudes, I suppose!
I am loving all the Spring and pre-Easter photos, lately, and can't wait to shoot yours!
